Patty King International

Patty King was started in 1985 as a small family business by four siblings from Jamaica.  It was first a Jamaican grocery store and bakery located in Scarborough, Ontario where they made Jamaican breads, buns, and patties.  The patties, hand-held flaky pastries filled with ground beef cooked with Jamaican seasonings and Scotch Bonnet peppers, became so popular that they closed the grocery store and focused on manufacturing and wholesaling patties.  Over the years, the demand for patties grew with major grocery store chains and foodservice companies. Patty King International was incorporated in 1994 and became a Canadian federally-licensed establishment.  The production facility is SQF certified and the beef and vegetable patties are Halal certified.  The Jamaican patties are sold in major grocery store chains and in universities and schools
