Franciacorta Brut Saten 2007, Fratelli Berlucchi
- 90 I.W.R. (Italian Wine Review)
- Pale brassy white with greenish reflections and fine perlage
- The bouquet is rich, with gunflint minerality laced with some acidity and breadcrumbs, as well as spice and some savory accents
- On the palate it's full, and soft, as Saten is want to be, with clean rich white berry fruit supported by slightly lemony acidity and smooth sparkle, whose softness confers a creamy texture, and flows into a clean fresh savory finish
- Quite approachable and will drink well as an aperitif or at the table
- Grapes - 70% Chardonnay and 30% White Pinot (blanc de blancs)
